  • About
Time for wine tasting. Inside a wine cellar. Hostel in the city center of Porto. About 13€ per night. Frankly, I think the guest house we later found was much better and only 2€ more per night. Lights integrated into the pavement turned red or green depending on the traffic light. A bit tired, from two weeks of walking, riding down (the memory lane) in reverse directions from where we walked. The train was also quite nice, I think the speed was around 150-200km/h. Post for pilgrims. I've mentioned before, that during high season, it's possible to send your backpacks etc. to the next albergue/stop and walk without them. Another interesting statue in Santiago. Atlantic Ocean in the morning. Perfect day for swimming Last dinner of the pilgrimage, still in style, as it should be. WE DID IT!!! We found the 0 km sign! At the end At the end So close I can feel it. Interesting name of the restaurant we passed by. Final diploma End in sight, sadly still couple of hours away. Mmmmm smells great. Pure happiness Smelling the sea again, we were close. A bit of mysterious fog ahead of us. Pet, pet, good boy! Maybe my skills have gotten a bit too good from all the practice, as this good boy didn't want to leave us for more than an hour. Weather was ok - as it didn't rain. Walking over the river valley. Wind mills Mandatory morning selfie. Drying shoes again. Not sure, what was worse, doing it in the room last time, or in the kitchen this time. :) Now to make the dinner. Oh, here the hostels werent as we got used to in Spain. It was not heated and a bit dump from all the rain. I almost slept in jacket. Cheers, well deserved my friend! Waiting to buy food at the local restaurant/store. We must have looked horrible, as the waitress took pity on us and gave us tortilla on the house. (This is something Mikel, used to often do in Luleå. Scrambled eggs with potatoes - surprisingly good) THIS FEELS AMAZING! Finally sitting down at the end. Happy and tired at the end. Albergue in this tiny old town. It was quite unique. At some point we came into a guy that had literary a herd of dogs around him. There were more than 20 of them running around making all kind of noises. From what we could decipher, I think he was training them for something. Sheep At this time, we were already counting down kilometers. Only 10 left! The weather luckily got a bit better in the afternoon- as it didn't rain so much anymore. Of course, it would go without a mandatory animal pet. Pet, pet, good dog! More than half way there. Waiting for someone. Green fields. The landscape was truly picturesque.
